Log Window

The log window is a window where the output of various commands of the application is displayed. It is an internal window located at the top half of the Statcato main window. The contents of the window is displayed using HTML.

Editing the log window

You can type in the log window to enter plain text. You can also perform common edit operations on the log window contents, such as copy (ctrl-c), paste (ctrl-v), and select all (ctrl-a).

Clearing the log window

To clear the log window, select Clear Log Window from the File menu.

Saving the log window

The log window can be saved as a HTML file.

• Save: Select File > Save Log Window…. Choose save location in the save file dialog (for the first time only).
• Save As: Select File > Save Log Window As…. Choose save location in the save file dialog.

Opening a Saved Log

The contents of a saved log window can be reloaded into the current log window when you select File > Open Saved Log…. You will be given the option to overwrite the current log window with the saved contents and the option to append the saved contents to the log window.

Printing the log window

Select File > Print Log Window… (ctrl-p). A Print Log Window dialog will appear and provide the following print options:

• Header: Check the header checkbox to print a header at the top of the document. Enter the header in the provided text box.
• Footer: Check the footer checkbox to print a footer at the bottom of the document. Enter the footer in the provided text box. The page number is used in the footer by default (Page {0}).
