Getting Started
Statcato requires Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.6 or higher. Download the latest version of Java (free).
Follow this link to start using Statcato: Launch Statcato (Java web start).
Open the file Statcato.jnlp with Java Web Start launcher to run Statcato. When the application starts, you will receive warning messages that the digital signature cannot be verified. Continue by choosing the option to allow access. Do not be alarmed: the warnings occur because of the security feature of Java Web Start--Statcato is safe.
You can also download Statcato to your computer instead of launching it from the Web.
More about Java Web Start
Java Web Start technology allows standalone Java software applications to be deployed with a single click on a Web page over the Internet. It ensures the most current version of the application will be deployed, as well as the correct version of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
Simply by clicking a link, a copy of the application is downloaded to your computer and can then be used directly. The application is cached on your computer and does not require downloading each time (until a new version is posted). When a new version is available, clicking the provided link will download a copy of the new application.
